NBA Playoffs Recap- 5/24/21

NBA

If I told you that both Los Angeles teams were out the playoffs, would you be surprised?  The Clippers continue to be all talk and no bite, and the Lakers were outworked and out schemed during their game against the Suns.  Obviously with it only being one game, it’s not time to overreact, but the Lakers and Clippers are playing good teams and should be even more focused going into game two.

The Heat lost game one and maybe the series.  They had the game in their hands, but turnovers and really sloppy play cost them game one.  I contend they are the better team but if they can’t get more scoring from Herro and Bam they wont win.

The Hawks v Knicks matchup was really good in game one, and both teams had stretches where it looked like they could take control of the game. Towards the end of the third when the Knicks were rolling, Lou Williams came in, scored 7 straight points to keep the Hawks afloat, and in the fourth Trey Young leading them to victory.  Julius didn’t have a great game and I expect him to play better as the series goes on, but Alec Burks came in on god-mode to almost help the knicks keeps game one in their grasp.  This series is evenly matched and game one, showed why this series could go 7.

Rudy Gobert……..Muy Basura! Defensive Player of the Year my ass.  How you foul out the game and you supposed to be the teams best player when Mitchell is out. Flopping on the sidelines while you fouled out, that’s what losers do. They will probably win the series, but he will never be great.
