Mount Zion v Giannis the Great!

NBA

Remember a few articles ago (https://www.itstechsports.com/blog/im-not-staying-up-nba) when I said NBA ratings were down and it was all LeBron’s fault.  Well if the ratings are down for tonight’s Bucks vs Pelicans game, it’s all the NBA’s fault.  You have The League MVP in Giannis, two All-Star players in Brandon Ingram and Kris Middleton and the only reason to watch this game…Lonzo Ball!

I’m sorry let me re-write that ZION WILLIAMSON.  I don’t watch much basketball but when I have as of late, it is because Zion is on my TV.  I stayed up all night to watch his NBA debut to be almost asleep for the first three quarters, to chanting MVP before he was taken out by the Pelicans medical staff.  The Pelicans playing in the central time zone is great for the league because all of his games can start at 7 or 8 pm Est, which is when people want to see him.

This matchup between the Zion and Giannis is an opportunity for the league to start to showcase the other talent in the league and allow the casual fan to see some of the greatness that these players possess.  I have said before that the league needs to market the players better because this is a star driven league.  There is no reason why if shown a picture to a random person on the street, they cannot recognize Zion or Giannis.

This also should be a really good game to watch. The Bucks attempting to show their dominance as the best team in the league. A Pelicans team who is fighting to get into the playoffs, with first time All-Star Brandon Ingram and future All-Star in Zion.  Contrasting styles as the Bucks like to run and shoot threes, while the Pelicans like to run and just dunk on you.  This game has all the makings of something the fans should want to watch from start to finish. This game could be like the first time the Cavs played the Lakers in the 2003-2004 season.  One great player in Kobe already cemented in the league and a rookie LeBron James ready to take over the league.  Giannis already a great player and MVP of the league and Zion, a player many believe will eventually win MVP.
