Buffalo Bills 2021 Off-Season!

nfl

The 2021 Buffalo Bills off-season has started, and the team has a lot of decisions to make, a lot of players to evaluate and a lot of self-evaluation to do.  General Manager Beane now has to show what he can do to move the team forward.  The tough years are now ahead of the team and this off-season is going to shape what happens, and if not planned correctly could hinder the teams Super Bowl aspirations.

Here is a list of players Brandon Beane has drafted with his first three picks in the last 3 NFL drafts. AJ Epenesa, Zack Moss, Gabe Davis, Ed Oliver, Cody Ford, Devin Singletary, Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds, Harrison Phillips.  Which of those players played above average against the Chiefs, not one! Going deeper into the last three drafts, one of the best picks is Wyatt Teller, All-Pro Guard for the Cleveland Browns.  Now I am not expecting you to hit on every draft pick, I am not even asking that every first-round pick to become an All-Pro, but at some point, there needs to be a player that can be a building block for the future. Right now, the only building block is Josh Allen.  Edmunds has played sub-par his entire career, Ed Oliver is pushed around like a ragdoll and Epenesa can’t seem to do anything right. The NFL draft is where champions are made and so far, Brandon Beane’s draft picks have been mid-grade at best.

Here is a list of players I would like to cut in order to create extra cap-space: Mario Addison, Vernon Butler, Lee Smith John Brown and Micah Hyde. Cutting these players saves the Bills over $25 Millions dollars.  Now at some point later in the off-season we will have a list of players to re-sign and players to go after in free agency.

The 2020-2021 Buffalo Bills had a great year, but in order to compete for championships, what I saw against the Chiefs isn’t going to cut it.  If this off-season is played correctly and the right players are drafted and able to make an immediate impact, this team could be poised for another run next year.

Here is a list of the positions the Bills need to upgrade:

Offensive Line- (Left Guard, Right Tackle)

Defensive Line- (Every Position)

Linebackers- (Every Position)

Cornerback- (Opposite Tre White)

Wide Receiver- (Deep Threat)

Running Back (Someone who isn’t Devin Singletary)
